Places to Visit in and around Cromer 


We have included some of the wonderful places to visit based on our personal recommendations, we have included a variety to appeal to everyone.

Cromer Pier 

Cromer Pier has the only full season end of the pier show in the wolrd, from summer spectaculars, christmas shows and a variety of talented impersonators or acts.

The Pier has a cafe/resturant and inside the Pavillion has a bar which serves some hot bar food, tea, coffee and alchoilic beverages which can be enjoyed outside on the pier, where you can enjoy the view.

Amazona Zoo

Is a fun day out for the whole family. They have over 200 animals from Jaguars to Caiman, everyday there is a selection of feedings times you can go along and watch. They also have a play area for the kids during lunchtime, witha massive bouncy pillow.

The Royal Cromer Golf Club

Visitors are welcome at Royal Cromer any day of the week and can look forward to a memorable experience. The course stands amongst the best cliff-top layouts in England, boasting fantastic views over the coastline and offers a fun and varied challenge to players of all levels.

Walks and footpaths

There are -plenty of great walks around Cromer as there are many public footpaths. a great one to do is to walk from Cromer along the beach to Overstrand and then walk back along the clifftop, there is a pub in Overstrand, which is great for a drink and toilet break. Just be aware of the tide when planning the walk.

Crabbing in Cromer

Somthing Cromer is famous for is it abundance and delicous crabs! even the novice is successful at crabbing in Cromer. its fun for all ages and is done off the Pier.

Most people release thier catches and just enjoy the delicacy in the local resturants. 



KartTrak Cromer

This is one of my family's favourite activities! A little bit of competitive spirit is good, this is not too far away and can be fun from the avid go karter to the new novice. 

It is an awesome outdoor kart trak, which has some specilly built karts which can cater to help those with disbilities have a go. So fun for everyone!

Felbrigg house

This is a beautiful peice of history, Felbrigg house is a 17th Century country house, which has Jacobean Architecture whilst having fine Georgian interior.

The house was bequethed to the National Trust in 1969 and is now open to the public. There are mnay conservation projects taking place at the house.

Pretty Corner Woods

The woods are a short drive out of town but are a beautiful winding walk, there are a few different pathways so you can choose one that suits you most. In additon at the end of the walk there is a little hidden cafe called Pretty Corner Tea-room which provides delicous foods and oh so yummy CAKE!

Make sure you check thier opening times to ensure you arent disapointed



Steam Train on the Poppy Line

Otherwise known as the North Norfolk trainline. The Poppy line operates a steam train service over the five miles from Sheringham to Holt. 

This is a little bit of history which is fun for all the family. A great day out.
